Say What?

A little late on this post, but better now than never.

I was entertained quite a while back when a non-Catholic Christian informed me that Catholics don’t know any hymns. Huh???

Last Sunday—The Solemnity of the Holy Trinity Sunday, for someone not Catholic, we sang these hymns:

All Creatures of Our God and King
Holy God We Praise Thy Name
How Great Thou Art

This is not an uncommon occurrence.

Oh, and for the record the Mass readings were:

First Reading:Exodus 34:4-6, 8-9
Psalm:(Ps) Daniel 3:52-55
Second Reading:2 Corinthians 13:11-13
Gospel:John 3:16-18

John 3:16–Really

But we never hear the Gospel preached. Poor Catholics that we are.
